John was nominated by his daughter Carrie. Here's what she wrote:
Hi Medina Vision and Laser Centre,
I am nominating my father, John Dragan, for the “Unsightly” Glasses Contest. He is a wonderful father, husband and teacher. He currently is a teacher at Ohio Technical College and an avid gardener and berry grower. He enjoys making jellies, jams, and sauces from the berries that he grows. The majority of the day he is around dust at works and dirt in the garden. He is the perfect candidate for this contest. I think that he feels that his glasses need to be big to see better. He has had this style of glasses since he graduated high school in 1970. If he does buy a new pair, I guarantee that he picks them out of the discontinued glasses drawer. His glasses have always been big, bulky, and heavy. He deserves the opportunity to have a new pair that a professional picked out for him, that fit his face, and get him into the 2000’s.
