Q. Can anyone wear contacts?
A. Just about. There have been many technological advances in contact lenses making them available to virtually everyone, with nearly any prescription.
Q. Is a contact lens prescription the same as an eyeglass prescription?
A. No. A contact lens prescription is based on an eyeglass prescription, but since the contact lens rests on the eye, there are other factors to consider.
Q. How often should I change my contacts?
A. It depends on the type of contacts with which you are fitted. We strictly follow the recommendations made by the manufacturer and also closely follow studies which show recommended wear times.
Q. I have a bad astigmatism and don't see 20/20 with my current prescription, Is there something that can be done?
A. Yes, there are contact lenses available for treating astigmatism. The lenses are called toric lenses and there are now several contact lens manufacturers making quality predictable toric lenses.
Q.I wear bifocals, can I also wear contacts?
A. Absolutely, bifocal contacts are available. We also fit monovision lenses for those who chose to wear one lens for distance and one for near.
